I had no idea how they could possibly be friends until Shirley pointed out they probably met at NonStop 4. (: I watched this video called “A Day in the Life of Jang Keun Suk”, and it showed Suk visiting and passing cups of coffee to Hyun Bin and to Director Park on the set of Worlds Within. And to see a man being good to kids that are not even his … that’s more than just “quite” something. If there’s one thing I spazz about more than my lovies, it’s kids. I almost did not see Hyun Bin at all – this guy just went all out – except of course who could ignore a face (and body!) like that, kekeke. Both he and Ha Ji Won pulled off the switches with barely a glitch, but not just once did I feel like he was eating her alive with his acting, particularly in Joo Won’s shifts from arrogance to vulnerability, from pseudo-omnipotence to innocence, from hardcore sajangnim to doting namjachinggu. But his portrayal of the claustrophobic business tycoon was just… phenomenal, I think is the best way to put it. I’ve always thought he had it in him, though I felt that there was a certain amount of holding back in his previous projects (then again, I’ve only seen two – Kim Sam Soon and A Millionaire’s First Love). ❤ That Man who played the Secret Garden character Kim Joo Won splendidly. breakup, hyun bin, random thoughs, song hye kyo 2 Comments I wish them both happiness in the next phase of their lives.Īll the best, my loves. One-half of my BiKyo shipping heart loves Song Hye Kyo, and everyone who knows me knows how much I love and respect Hyun Bin. In the end, though, that just isn’t enough. Maybe they tried hard, too, to make it last that long. For all it’s worth, I could say they tried. Maybe it was the seemingly lack of spazz, lack of spice, and obviously lack of time together that eventually led to the falling out (of the relationship, if not of love). While I feel partly happy, mostly relieved, about the news, I also feel a remote sense of sadness.

For me, the relationship looked more out of convenience, comfort and camaraderie … than love. To be fair, I also haven’t heard anything negative about the relationship ~ no scandals, no third-parties. But I didn’t bank on that much, coz anyone could do that for any of their friends. I have never watched World Within, so I couldn’t say anything about the chemistry. I would guess that at the very least, they have a good, comfortable relationship based on the supportive words they always, always, give for each other’s projects. They are both, after all, very private when it comes to personal affairs).

No pictures of them together, no sightings, no “apparent” effort to make up for lost time, since in the two years they’ve been together, they were actually more apart than together (I use the word “apparent”, as for all we know, there may be efforts, just not ones made known to the public. Second, because there was just not much to convince me. First, because the announcement of the relationship came out conveniently before Worlds Within was aired in Japan, months after the airing in Korea, which hit all-time lows, ratings wise. Even if I weren’t shipping BiKyo, I still don’t think I would be. I love Hye Kyo, I love Hyun Bin, but I’ve never been a BinKyo fan. I’m sorry to say this, but I saw this coming.

The lead stars of the 2008 drama Worlds Within are now worlds apart.
